In 2006, the 20,000 hectare garlic base in Jinxiang County was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture as the “National Standardized Production Base for Green Food Raw Materials”, and the Jinxiang Garlic Market was named “The Ministry of Agriculture Designated Fresh Agricultural Products Center Wholesale Market.” The 700 hectare garlic base of the export company has obtained Eu-rep/globleGAP certification.
In 2007, “Jinxiang Garlic” was recommended by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine as one of the first 10 geographical indication protection products mutually recognized with the European Union.
In 2015, the brand value of “Jinxiang Garlic” was as high as 18.232 billion yuan in China’s brand value evaluation activities.
In 2017, among the 700,000 acres of garlic in Jinxiang County, 350,000 acres have obtained green certification, 37,000 acres have obtained organic certification, and nearly 100,000 acres are in the process of organic conversion certification.
In November 2019, it was selected as the regional public brand of 2019 agricultural products.
